Electronics Developer — Lighting Technology (m/f/d)

Development of electronic lighting components and lighting systems for rail vehicles — from conception to lighting calculation and optical design to series production.

Your area of responsibility includes the following activities

  • The task includes the development of new and modified electronic components for lighting and interior systems from the concept phase through the testing phase to series production in accordance with internal and external requirements and specifications and taking into account the time and cost limits. It is preferably used in rail vehicles.
  • Selection and definition of the design specifications for the design of the specified luminaires
  • Carrying out lighting calculations
  • Optics development and selection
  • Analyze design and normative requirements, review implementation options (including manufacturing and economic conditions) and develop solutions ready for decision-making. Carry out time plans in accordance with the priority plan.
  • Preparation of the necessary evidence of functional suitability (inspection and test documentation). Coordinate results with the internal and external bodies involved.
  • Regular verification and coordination of development results with project managers, designers, production planning, purchasing and suppliers.
  • Documentation of work results and technical documentation of the developed components. Carry out all calculations required for the developed solutions (e.g. thermal load, lifetime, dimensions and installation space) and, if necessary, adapt the developed solutions.
  • Coordinating tests, i.e. preparing assemblies and systems for testing, designing, manufacturing and setting up test facilities. Test new test facilities. Develop new functional rules. Interpret test results and, if necessary, examine the design implementation options.
  • Technical sales support.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed engineering degree
  • Profound Knowledge in Analog and Digital Circuit Technology
  • Profound Knowledge in the Field of Lighting Technology/ Training as a Lighting Technician Desirable
  • Solid knowledge of development tools, circuit board routing (e.g. EAGLE, CADsoft, VisualStudio C#, VB)
  • Experience in the test environment (EMC and environmental tests, certifications, tests)
  • Soft Skills: Commitment, Customer Orientation, Ability to Work in a Team, Flexibility and an Independent Way of Working
