Desiro Thameslink
From 2016, 115 Desiro City trains will run on the 225 kilometre Thameslink railway line between Bedford and Brighton. Siemens received the order to supply the eight or twelve-part trains in June 2013.
For this, the company has developed a vehicle with a significant weight reduction compared with the predecessor, more space, and increased comfort for the passengers.
As the development partner and supplier, SBF is providing the cold air ducts as well as the complete ceiling system with integrated full LED lighting.
Flexity
The Flexity is Bombardier Transportation"s model for urban mass transit rail systems. Various tram and light rail types are marketed under this brand name.
SBF is supplying the grid lights and LED exterior lights for the design for Frankfurt. The designs for Berlin and Halle are fitted with SBF LED side signal lights.
ET 430
The comfortable and environmentally-friendly multiple-unit suburban trains of the ET 430 series use up to 40 percent less energy according to the manufacturer"s figures.
The 68.30-metre-long trains have fast acceleration and reach speeds of up to 140 km/h in operation. The energy-saving LED lighting integrated in the luggage carriers and the ceiling modules with LED side strips and LED spotlights from SBF create a pleasant ambience.
Hamburger Hochbahn DT5
The two-car coach DT5 is an underground rail vehicle used for passenger transport by Hamburger Hochbahn AG (HHA).
It meets the latest ecological and safety standards, offers passengers a very comfortable ride and will eventually replace the remaining DT2 and DT3 vehicles.
The DT5 is one of the first rail vehicles worldwide to be equipped with LED headlights. SBF developed and supplied these headlights.
Munich Underground
The C model is currently the newest vehicle generation on the Munich underground railway system.
These C1-generation vehicles are no longer two-car coaches, but now constitute one complete unit. This gives the train a far more integrated appearance.
SBF supplied complete ceiling lights for the continuous passenger area lighting.
